Maps are playing an important role in making the task easier for users in many industries. Just think how useful they have become for traveling, especially by car, effectively replacing the
browsers.
Through the use of GPS the current position can be detected, set the destination and follow the app instructions to reach the chosen location. Another particularly useful functionality is the one that allows us to find the
parking. The most used service for maps is definitely
Google Maps
which can be accessed from a browser or by installing the appropriate application to android
AND
iOS.
However, there is also a map service of the Microsoft which comes pre-installed as enrollment in operating systems
windows starting from Windows 10. In order to be able to use the services of the maps, it is clear that it is necessary to be
connected to internet to allow the
GPS to detect our position in real time.
However, this is not always possible, especially if we are traveling in an area with insufficient or even absent internet signal. However, this can be resolved by first downloading the maps we need to be able to query them off. In the post we will see how to do this with windows and with
Google Maps.

Of course the best solution is to download the maps to a mobile device, but for example if we are on vacation in an RV and we brought a laptop with us, you can also download the maps with your computer.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD WINDOWS OFFLINE MAPS
To download offline maps from windows you go up
Definitions (windows + A) and click on Application in the left column (Windows 11). so continue
Offline maps -> Downloaded maps -> Download maps.
