How to extract contents from ZIP files with Android and how to create ZIP files and folders with RAR application that can be installed from Google Play Store
O zip is the most popular file format used to organize metadata through lossless compression. Other popular files are
RAR, 7Z, TAR, JAR, ISOetc…
O Windows OS they have a
native tool to extract the contents of the files
zip and files iso. They don't have it to create zip of files and folders. However, you can use the free app
7-ZIP
which also supports Linux.
When to manage files zip from mobile devices there are more difficulties that, however, can be overcome with special free applications that allow us to manage files
zip of mobile devices more or less like desktop computers. We can then extract the contents of a zip but also create from File AND
folders.
I personally recommend the app RAR distributed by the same software company that created the program
WinRAR. The app RAR
can be installed for free from Google app store. Alternatively, you can install the app
WinZip Zip Unzipping Toolalso free but with ads and in-app purchases.
who uses devices iOS can use the application iZip – Zip UnZip UnRar
per iPad free with In-app purchases.
The app RAR instead, it has no ads, however, after opening it, a pop-up appears inviting us to become supporters of the project by subscribing to a subscription to €1.19 per year. Just close the popup and you can continue using the app. If you don't sign up, you will continue to see the popup every time you open it.

When opening the app for the first time RAR it is necessary to give

HOW TO EXTRACT THE CONTENTS OF A ZIP FILE WITH RAR
Inside Home from the application RAR The folders present in
memory
of the device. Going to the menu in the upper left corner you can choose another path like that of a
pen drive

You can press to 1 second in the file zip to display the context menu or click the button with the arrow.
In the context menu go to Extract here to extract the contents in the same folder and in Extract files … instead of extracting the files to a folder of your choosing. Clicking the arrow button is like choosing Extract file …
This will open a new screen where you can optionally flag some settings or not.

View the extracted files.
Only the last option is flagged by default. The destination path is inside the folder where it is located ZIP, in a subfolder with the file name. it can be changed
destination path, going up To browse, AND
first name folder by typing it in the appropriate field. We follow then OK and the folder with the contents of
zip.
HOW TO CREATE A ZIP FROM A FILE AND FOLDER

Add to file… which will open the same window that would open by clicking the button More. You select the format zip then you can choose the
output folder to enter To browse AND
change the name of the file.
Optionally you can also encrypt the ZIP

and it will be added to the chosen destination folder zip. The original folder will remain if we have not flagged
